Right in the middle of town, our St John’s Halls are a short walk away from Waterside Campus and have both shared and private accommodation options.
Offering 437 single en-suite bedrooms, seven twin studios and five single studios, these halls are close to all the town has to offer from shops, and restaurants to supermarkets – you’ll be in the centre of everything, so you can really get to know Northampton town.
For those current students who are moving to Waterside for your second year or third year of study, although priority is given to first year students you can also apply to stay in these halls, alternatively the Student Lets team will help you to find the right kind of private accommodation to suit your needs.
Applications for University ran halls open around Spring and information will be sent to offer holders via email.
If you have disability-related accommodation needs, you can make a priority application to live in halls of residence. We will look at any reasonable adaptations that need to be made to improve access in our halls of residence.
For further information please contact Additional Student Support and Inclusion Services Team (ASSIST) or Accommodation Services.
If you are a first year international student you are eligible to apply to live in our halls of residence.
Applications will be considered in the order that they are received. A bedding pack can be purchased when you accept your room offer, if you chose this option, the pack will be in your room on arrival. The cost of this is currently £25.
You will have a choice to live in en-suite rooms in flats with up to nine other students, or a single studio, with it’s own kitchenette and bathroom, or in the off campus accommodation you can choose a twin en-suite room, this is a shared bedroom with one other student and you have a kitchenette and bathroom between you. You will usually be accommodated with students from a mix of other countries. You can request a room in either a single-sex or a mixed sex flat in mixed-sex halls.
